Arthur Elgort’s cannon of work is so spectacular that it’s hard to encapsulate in a few short sentences. A longtime contributor to Vogue as well as countless other publications, the photographer is responsible for some of the fashion industry’s most iconic images. A leggy (and pantsless) Kate Moss waiting for someone, anyone, to notice her at a L.A. diner? Linda Evangelista playfully pretending to kick a bagpiper? Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell in bed together? Yes, yes, and yes. For those lucky enough to be in or around Manhattan, stop by the Staley-Wise Gallery (through Jan 10) to see a fraction of Elgort’s impressive range of work on display.
